Unfortunately, there are individuals who falsely claim to represent reputable companies. Unsuspecting applicants may be invited to participate in bogus interviews, asked to fill out fabricated employment applications and have even received counterfeit offer letters. The goal of the scammer is to persuade victims to pay money or divulge sensitive personal information.
Please consider the points below as you progress your job search.
- Beware of unsolicited communications from unfamiliar individuals or websites, especially those with domain names inconsistent with the actual business.
- YETI Recruiters may reach out via LinkedIn, but they will not solicit you from unofficial phone numbers or email addresses.
- Exercise caution if communication lacks specific job details, if the recruiter is evasive when asked questions, or if a job offer is extended without an interview.
- Be wary of any communication that features grammatical errors or uses urgency or fear tactics to prompt hasty actions or decisions.
- Never share sensitive personal data, such as identification numbers (e.g., birthdates, social security numbers, etc.) or banking information, during the application phase.
- YETI will not request monetary payments at any point during the hiring process.
- Any payments made by YETI will be from an official company account bearing the YETI name. Do not trust checks from any other source.
- Beware of job opportunities that are vague or come from people you do not know and appear "too good to be true."
