A Cape Productions Film DOP, Director & Editor - Pete Rogers, Colourist - Tim Wreyford Sound, Design  - Leo Guardo, Music by HEADLAND, Water footage by Todd Thimios & Mick Waters
Todd Thimios grew up in North Queensland diving the tropical waters where his love for the
underwater world really began. He went on to spend 6 years on Lord Howe island
where his passion turned to a profession as an underwater photographer. It
wasn’t long before he was on expeditions around the world to the most exotic
locations including The Galapagos, Maldives, Borneo, Costa Rico and many others.
Between Todds photography work he became a certified Deep Sea Submersible Pilot and has logged over a hundred dives to depths of up to 1,000 metres. This is a job that very few people in the world dare take on.
This film is about a moment of change, where one image would connect two people and ultimately create a new life for both of them.
For the first time in his adult life Todd has planted some serious roots. The couple spend their days renovating an old farm house in the Northern Rivers and raising their daughter. It’s been a big transition for Todd but he’s never been happier.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to have spent a life at sea and to have seen the world in the most beautiful of ways”

“Fast forward years later, Melissa and I have married and have a beautiful baby girl, Piper Pearl and live on a rural property near the sea. My orca imagery has not only shaped my career, but been the catalyst for the biggest win in my life, my beautiful family.”

“I now dream of the future prospect of diving alongside my little daughter with the orcas, in the beautiful fiords of the Arctic.”
