Todd Thimios grew up in North Queensland diving the tropical waters where his love for the
underwater world really began. He went on to spend 6 years on Lord Howe island
where his passion turned to a profession as an underwater photographer. It
wasn’t long before he was on expeditions around the world to the most exotic
locations including The Galapagos, Maldives, Borneo, Costa Rico and many others.
underwater world really began. He went on to spend 6 years on Lord Howe island
where his passion turned to a profession as an underwater photographer. It
wasn’t long before he was on expeditions around the world to the most exotic
locations including The Galapagos, Maldives, Borneo, Costa Rico and many others.
Between Todds photography work he became a certified Deep Sea Submersible Pilot and has logged over a hundred dives to depths of up to 1,000 metres. This is a job that very few people in the world dare take on.
This film is about a moment of change, where one image would connect two people and ultimately create a new life for both of them.
For the first time in his adult life Todd has planted some serious roots. The couple spend their days renovating an old farm house in the Northern Rivers and raising their daughter. It’s been a big transition for Todd but he’s never been happier.
